From a small start, and a need to be self-sufficient, Ian Macfarlane built Makeean Polymers cc into a 15 kt per annum factory. It supplies emulsions into competitive markets in South Africa and abroad.
Makeean supplies polymers to Paint, Adhesives, Mining, Textile printing, Construction and Industrial painting. The same factory also exports to countries in Africa and further afield.
Water-based polymers for decorative and industrial paint makers.
Binders used in textile print pastes.
Polymers for cement mixes, mortars and related building products.
Emulsions for industrial coating work.
Polymers used where a road or surface needs a binder.
